The Central EMS Training Academy is proud to present an accelerated academy-style EMS certification course with PAID training. No previous EMS experience is required.
Central EMS is offering Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses, which includes a four-week, full-time coursework and an exam. After completing the EMR course, applicants will be enrolled in the EMT classes while working on an ambulance for 12-14 weeks. Before and during the classes, students will serve as ambulance operators on Central EMS' ambulances gaining real-world experience.
Central EMS is seeking driven, dedicated candidates interested in taking the first step to join the emergency medical services industry. Your EMT certification is the first step in a career in EMS or can be a steppingstone to careers in public safety and health care.
WHEN
40-hour weekly schedule
(includes 80 total clinical hours)
Classes begin in staggered start dates throughout 2021 and 2022.

WHERE
Ambulance operator shifts and clinical rides will be completed on interfacility and 9-1-1 ambulances at Central EMS' stations in Roswell, Newnan, Savannah & Macon.
EMT classroom work will also be held at Central EMS station locations in these areas.

COST
Central EMS will provide all training at no cost to the student, including:
EMR Course
- FREE tuition and certification fees (National Registry, Georgia)
- Paid wages ($10/hr.) and full benefits package during training & ambulance operator shifts.
- Offer available for the EMR course with a one-year employment commitment.
EMT-Basic Course
- FREE tuition and certification fees (National Registry, Georgia)
- Paid wages ($10/hr.) and full benefits package during training & ambulance operator shifts.
- Offer available for the EMR course with a one-year employment commitment.
- Upon passing the EMT-Basic exam, EMTs are ready to work on an ambulance with wage scale increasing to up to $30,000 a year with room to grow up to $45,000 with additional shift-friendly, in-house paramedic certification.
- Offer available with two-year employment commitment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a High School diploma or GED
- Be 18 years of age (by the end of the class)
Description
Our EMT Course follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (www.nremt.org). This course has been approved through the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma. Upon successful completion of our program, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pass both the cognitive and psychomotor exams required by NREMT. Central EMS will cover costs of National Registry and Georgia EMT certifications. All of your clinical 3rd rides will be completed on our 911-Advanced Life Support and BLS Ambulances.
