The Central EMS Training Academy is proud to present an accelerated 8-week EMT class beginning 2021.
Central EMS is seeking driven, dedicated candidates interested in taking the first step to join the emergency medical services industry. Your EMT certification is the first step in a career in EMS or can be a steppingstone to careers in public safety and health care.
40-hour weekly schedule
(includes 80 total clinical hours)
Classes in staggered sessions throughout 2021; Schedule to be announced. Classes end 8-10 weeks from start.

A hiring manager will be in touch to set up a virtual interview and an aptitude test.
The positions for this posting falls into three tracks. Entrance into one of the three tracks is based on a scoring matrix consisting of your interview and an entrance exam.
Track 1: A limited number of paid stipends are available: $10/hour wage for classroom hours + benefits package with a two-year commitment. Limited slots available.
Track 2: FREE tuition & certification fees (National Registry, Georgia) for available candidates who pass and complete certification with a one-year employment commitment. Limited slots available. Failure to reach certification requires reimbursement for class to the company.
Track 3: Become a State Certified Ambulance driver and an apprentice. Those selected into the apprenticeship program will work as a full-time employee for Central EMS as an ambulance driver with the opportunity to be enrolled into the next available EMT class as an academy student.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a High School diploma or GED
- Be 18 years of age (by the end of the class)
Our EMT Course is held in conjunction with Faithful Guardian Training Center follows the National Standard Curriculum as defined by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (www.nremt.org). This course has been approved through the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma. Upon successful completion of our program, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pass both the cognitive and psychomotor exams required by NREMT. All of your clinical 3rd rides will be completed on our 911-Advanced Life Support and BLS Ambulances. Being able to provide you real-life emergency experience is what sets our programs apart from others. You will be actively engaged and challenged to be a part of “our team”.
